Banquet Information

The following information is designed to assist in planning a successful event. The Peppertree is a newly built/remodeled facillty located 1 half mile North of Oskaloosa on Highway 63. We are only one mile away from most churches and other attractions in town. Our restaurant and ballroom has in excess of 400 seats and measures over 8000 square feet. We are dedicated to the absolute satisfaction of ALL of our guests.

Menus

Event menus and other details pertinent to your function should be submitted to The Peppertree at least four weeks prior to your function date. The enclosed menus are only suggestions. All menu prices are subject to change. Our chef and owner are more than happy to customize a menu for your event.

Facilities

All food and beverages must be purchased through The Peppertree, unless you are bringing a wedding cake. The table skirts for the wedding party table rent for $25.00. The Peppertree supports the "designated driver" program and will offer complimentary soft drinks to a designated driver. The State of Iowa Liquor Commission prohibits any alcoholic beverages brought on to or opened containers carried out of our facility. All banquet rooms must be vacated no later than 1:15 am but management reserves the rights to change vacate time based on the activity. The Peppertree will be happy to arrange for rental of any audiovisual equipment and coordinate services such as music, decorations, floral arrangements, and related items. All decorations must be approved prior to arrival and the event coordinator takes responsibility for any damages. Guests agree to be responsible for any damages to the premises during the event. Decorations cannot be attached to walls, ceilings, or fixtures. No confetti is allowed. Adjacent to our building is the Red Carpet Inn, a 41 - room motel, and their phone number is: 641-673-8641.

Deposit and Billing

Final attendance for all functions must be phoned, faxed or e-mailed to The Peppertree no later than three business days prior to your event. This number is considered a final guarantee and is not subject to reduction. If we are not advised of a guarantee we will consider expected attendance your final guarantee. On request we will set and prepare for 3-5% over the guarantee for family style dinners and buffets. If your group is tax exempt please have your tax-exempt number available and all checks must be written from the tax-exempt account. A deposit must be made for a formal booking of your event. Your deposit will be the equivalent of your room charge. Final balance is due the day of the event based on your final guarantee. All deposits are non-refundable. All food and beverage is subject to state sales tax of 7% plus a taxable gratuity service charge of 18%. All prices and availability are subject to change.
